Job Title: Women & Girls Performance Manager (part-time)
Hours: 20 hours management and administration per month
The Somerset Cricket Board are seeking a Women and Girls Performance Manager to be responsible for the female performance pathway within Somerset.
We are seeking an individual who has the right skills and qualities to manage our female player pathway. We would also like this individual to coach on the pathway (Emerging Player Programme (EPP), county age groups and districts) which will be paid in addition to this role on an hourly rate basis.
We currently run girls age group teams at U12, U13, U15 and U17 level with matches also played by an U19 side that acts as a Development Squad for our Women’s team. Our Women’s team will be competing in Division One of the County Championship in 2018.
The post holder will need to structure, manage and deliver on the pathway in such a way that enables players to reach their potential at the same time as having a great time playing the sport.
The successful candidate will join a friendly and highly motivated workforce who take great pride in increasing the number of people playing the game as well as developing those in our pathway to be as good as they can be.
The successful candidate will be line managed by our Performance Head Coach and we will offer plenty of development opportunities for the post-holder to grow and develop personally and professionally in the role.
The successful candidate will have experience of coaching in development and performance environments.
Candidates must demonstrate both team working skills and the ability to work unsupervised using their own initiative. Excellent communication, presentation skills and good IT skills will be expected. Applicants must have the ability to live and work in the UK and be able/willing to work regular evenings and weekends.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with energy and enthusiasm together with good administration and organisational skills. Equally you will be an excellent communicator with a passion for the game and working with young people.
