In line with the WEPL facilities and pitch preparation criteria the league is, for the third year in a row, running a Club Improvement Fund to assist clubs in developing on and off field facilities.
When is the fund open?
We will welcome applications between 7th March and 6th April 2018.
Who can apply for funding?
All 2018 WEPL clubs can apply providing they were not successful in securing funds from the Club Improvement Fund in 2016 or 2017.
One application per year.
One successful application (maximum) every three years.
What is eligible for funding?
Each club can apply for funding for ONE of the items below per application.
Funding will not be given retrospectively for projects/products already purchased.
Projects/products will need to be completed/purchased by the 1st October 2018 to be eligible for funding.
Grounds equipment (new or second hand (with a minimum 12 month guarantee))
Outfield mowers etc..
Roll on covers
Bowlers run up sheets
Water removal equipment
Permanent non-turf training facilities (nets)
Roll on cages
Ball stop netting
How much can we apply for?
Up to a maximum of £1,000 per club and no more than a 50% contribution to the total cost of the project/product.
The Club Improvement Fund will be £10,000 in 2018.

How will WEPL decide which clubs to fund?
The WEPL Standards Committee will make and communicate the decisions after the 6th April.
There is a strong likelihood that we will receive more applications than we can fund. Decisions on which clubs are successful will therefore be based on applications meeting the criteria for the fund, the perceived need of the club and likelihood of successful completion of the project.
If we are successful when we will we get the funding?
WEPL will distribute funds to successful applicants once decisions have been made and clubs have signed and returned documentation regarding the funding.
Clubs will need to evidence the completion/purchase of the project/product by the 1st October 2017 or the funding will need to be returned to WEPL.
