SCB KO Cups
The KO CUPS return for 2021
After an enforced season of due to the Covid-19 Pandemic we are delighted to announce our popular KO Cups is returning for 2021!
We run three T20 cups, each one is for a particular band of clubs to enter so that competition is fair and meaningful. The matches are initially played at a local level before becoming county-wide, culminating in a six team finals day at The Cooper Associates County Ground on Sunday 8th August.
- The Major Cup is open to all SCB affiliated teams who play in the West of England Premier League.
- The Intermediate Cup is open to SCB affiliated teams who play in any of the top three divisions of the Bristol & District, Somerset or Wiltshire Cricket Leagues
- The Minor Cup is open to all other teams who affiliate to the Somerset Cricket Board.
We are pleased to be able to announce the draws for the three competitions for 2021 and are now loaded on play-cricket.
To ensure the competitions run smoothly each round (excluding Semi Finals & Final) has a fixed week (Monday-Sunday) when fixtures must be played. This should be agreed by both teams taking into consideration the ground availability of the Home side and availability of the Away side. The home side must offer a minimum of two dates for the game. If teams cannot agree on a date, then management committee will rule accordingly but hope that clubs can work together to avoid this situation occurring.
There have been some amendments made to the rules for 2021, we would like to draw your attention to changes made to rules 3a, 3b, 3.3, 3.4 relating to player qualification, and 9a which clarifies that any ECB and Government Covid-19 guidelines in place at the time the fixture is played must be adhered to: SCB KO Cup Rules 2021
The winning team is required to enter the result and full scorecard on play-cricket within 48 hours of the match being played. This must include the names of all participating players.
