Something for everyone in Somerset

There are 165 affiliated cricket clubs in Somerset, all offering many different ways for people to play the game. There are also numerous cricket opportunities for juniors to start cricket, play with friends or look to improve their game throughout the year. If you want your child play some cricket but don’t know where to start just get in touch with our staff who will be happy to help.

All Stars

All Stars Cricket is an ECB initiative providing children aged 5 to 8 with a great first experience in cricket.

Dynamos Cricket

Dynamos Cricket is an ECB initiative for children ages 8-11. It’s an opportunity to build and develop what they have learned at All Stars. It is also a great opportunity for children new to the sport.

U19 T20

Vitality U19 Club T20 is a vibrant competition that keeps young players in the game.

ECB National Cup

The National Club competition is open to affiliated club U13 & U15 teams, with County Finals taking place in June .

Girls Cricket

The number of girls-only teams in Somerset is increasing and we are keen to support clubs who want to get involved.

Children's Coaching

We run coaching courses throughout the year catering for children aged 4 – 15 of a wide range of abilities.

Youth Leagues

Across Somerset we have five separate youth leagues who each offer formats of cricket that are voted in by their clubs.

Welfare

The welfare of young people involved in cricket in the county is of paramount importance, ensuring they are safe within cricket.

The Somerset Cricket Board College Academy run in partnership with Richard Huish College.
