Somerset Over 60's A- Seevent County Champions in 2015
The Somerset Seniors Cricket Association has had their most successful season since its inception 6 years ago with their A side winning the Seevent Over 60's County Championship in 2015 defeating Yorkshire in the Final.
Not only did the team enjoy success there were individual success with Brian Brogden (Burnham on Sea CC), the top wicket taker in the country with 29 victims at 13.72 with Norman Botton (Hinton Charterhouse CC) second with 28 wickets at 11.82 and Glyn Flinders (Temple Cloud CC) was seventh with an average of 14.17. The top wicketkeeper in the county was Nigel Belletty (Chew Magna CC) with 30 victims, 14 stumped, 14 caught and 2 run outs and Dave Stephenson (Taunton Deane CC) was third in the national list having scored 741 runs in 13 games with an average of 61 and a strike rate of 88.
In addition to the A Team the also run a B side which play Seevent 2nd xi West league who finished mid table in the table.
