Since it was first introduced by the Somerset Cricket Board, District Cricket has been many young players first taste of representative cricket within the County.
There are District teams at U11, U12, U13 and U14 age groups, each age group has potential for four teams that are selected to produce competitive festivals that take place in spring and summer. In addition to the festivals there is also a 4 week indoor training programme that takes place prior to the spring festival.
SCB coaches are currently putting the squads together in preparation for the Spring District Festival. An email will be sent out Monday 16 April with squad and coach details, this will also be available on our website. Due to high numbers in 2018, there will be 2 age groups that have 4 squads, therefore these will have games only.
